Joyce remembers Usyk, Joshua and Fury after defeating Hammer

WBO mandatory challenger British heavyweight Joe Joyce (14-0, 13 KOs) had a slugfest with German gatekeeper Christian Hammer (27-10, 17 KOs), kneaded him in the 4th round and defended the WBC Silver and WBO International belts.

And after that, the fighter confirmed his intentions to fight for the belt in the next fight. Joyce expects to fight the winner of the rematch between compatriot Anthony Joshua and Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (takes place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia), which will have the WBA Super, IBF and WBO belts at stake. But also do not mind fighting for the WBC belt with Briton Tyson Fury.

“Everything is as before, Only forward, only to the top –
Joyce says. – Since I am in the top of the WBC and WBO ratings, winning the championship belts is just a matter of time. Fury, Usyk or Joshua? Yes, I’m ready. I’m ready to reach a new level of opposition. I’m ready, I’m waiting for my turn.”

Fighter promoter Frank Warren (queensberry promotions) made it clear that before the end of the year, Joyce will have one more fight: “He will perform on September 24th. Now let’s sit down and figure out the names of possible opponents. It’s amazing that in 14 fights, Joyce brought himself to such high positions in the WBC and WBO. And in the battle with the Hammer, he showed that he takes them for a reason.

In fact, Joyce missed a lot in the battle with the German gatekeeper, but his beard strength continues to impress with inhuman stamina. Winner’s comment: “It turned out to be a fascinating mahach. Downtime affected my actions (almost 12 months without fights). The body is a little rusty, but that’s what many people go through. At first, I really didn’t even see where those blows of his were coming from. I’m not afraid of missed splashes, but still I prefer not to go too far with this. Coach Ismael Salas said to work on the body, and it worked. Now we need to return to the hall and plow over the defense – there is a lot of work to be done.

Last month, the Usyk-Joshua 2 fight. Joe Joyce shared a detailed prediction for the Usyk-Joshua 2 fight. A little later, he nevertheless stated that “the challenger will have a puncher’s chance.” His Cuban coach told how to beat Usyk, compared the strength of Joyce and Haye.
