If the British ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) has the opportunity to once again enter the ring against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), then he will be able to finally finish the fight in his benefit.
Joshua’s new coach, American specialist Derrick James, is sure of this.
Recall that at the moment, Joshua and Usyk fought twice, and in both cases, Anthony was defeated on points: in 2021 under the leadership of Rob McCracken, and in 2022 already with Robert Garcia in the corner.
“Yes,” James replied when asked if he could teach the Briton how to act against Usyk in order to win. “Because I train left-handed boxers.”
Recall that Usyk is left-handed and, accordingly, boxing in a right-handed stance. The same is appropriate to say about Errol Spence and Frank Martin, who are wards of James.
Joshua’s return to the ring after two defeats from the Ukrainian is scheduled for April 1 in London (England). His opponent will be American Jermaine Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs), and this will be Anthony’s first performance under Derrick.
And the new coach Joshua honestly admitted that he was dying from Anthony’s tactics in a rematch with Usyk.
