According to
ESPNfor the rematch against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs), ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will train under the famous American coach Robert Garcia.
The fight is scheduled for July 23 in Saudi Arabia.
Joshua has long been looking for a replacement for longtime coach Robert McCracken almost since losing to Usyk in September 2021. At the end of that season, the Briton went on a tour of the halls of America, looking closely at the local coaches – Eddie Reynoso, Ronnie Shields and Virgil Hunter. I visited, among other things, the Garcia Hall.
In recent months, the Briton has been working with assistant coach Angel Fernandez, but now, according to the resource, the American specialist will go to England to Joshua ahead of the second fight with Usyk.
