Joshua reveals how he will prepare for Fury: ‘That’s enough to win’

Former two-time heavyweight champion Briton Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) remains optimistic despite two defeats in a row to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs).

AJ believes that sooner or later he will meet in the ring with compatriot antagonist and current WBC champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs).

Joshua even
toldHow will his preparation for this fight go: “How do I plan to prepare for it? I will look for answers to my questions in the history of boxing. I’ll look for examples in heavyweight history on how to fight bigger opponents. I will look for how to box with uncomfortable and with those who are not easy to hit. I’ll also review the notes on how Coach Fury works. Last but not least, mental preparation. Fury’s vulnerabilities need to be identified.”

Joshua believes that having collected all the information, he will be able to give the opponent a good fight: “I am sure that this will be enough to win.”

It is not worth talking about this fight in the short term. Fury plans to determine the absolute world champion in a fight with Usyk, and Joshua is preparing for the measure of the intermediate fight – he first needs to close the defeats, regain confidence in his abilities.

Also, AJ is looking for a new mentor. His previous coach Garcia commented on the breakup: “I wish him success, but I know what his problem is.”
