British heavyweight Richard Riakpore (15-0, 11 KOs) helping his compatriot, ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) prepare for a rematch against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs), claims that AJ approaches the second fight with the offender with a completely different attitude than the first.
“I can’t reveal his game plan to you, because then I’ll be punished, but I will tell you about one thing: the intensity, the intentions with which he throws his punches, and the hunger with which he achieved so much, is now with him, day after day,” says Richard. “Many, having achieved what Joshua achieved, would not have been able to. And he’s hungry. He wants to create a legacy for himself. I can see it in his eyes, I can see it in his body language.”
Recall that in September last year, Usyk took away the WBA, WBO and IBF champion titles from Joshua, winning on points in London. The rematch is scheduled for August 20 in Saudi Arabia.
Riakpore also predicted how Usyk-Joshua 2 would end.
