Jose Aldo to be inducted into UFC Hall of Fame

Former WEC and UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame at the annual gala in Las Vegas in July.

The legendary Brazilian, who ended his career in mixed martial arts last year, learned about this at the UFC 283 tournament in Rio de Janeiro, which he attended as a spectator.

In 2011, Jose Aldo moved to the UFC after the takeover of the WEC, and during this time he managed to replenish his record with twenty-one wins and seven losses.

For the past three years, the Brazilian fighter has competed in the bantamweight division, where he has won three victories and suffered three defeats, including losing ahead of time to Petr Yan in a duel for the vacant championship belt.

The last time Jose Aldo entered the octagon was in August last year, losing to Merab Dvalishvili by unanimous decision in a potential Candidates match.

The 36-year-old Brazilian plans to make his professional boxing debut next month at an event on Feb. 10 at the team’s Nova Uniao training center in Rio de Janeiro.
