Jorge Masvidal is ready to resume his career

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Jorge Masvidal, who announced the end of his professional career nine months ago, has made it clear that he plans to return to the octagon.

The former street fighter announced this to his fans on social media.

“Not retired,” Masvidal wrote.

In July 2019, Jorge Masvidal became the author of the fastest knockout in UFC history, already in the fifth second of the fight with a knee strike in the jump sent Ben Askren into a deep knockout. After that, the American earned an early victory over his compatriot Nate Diaz, who was unable to continue the fight due to a serious dissection, and then suffered four straight losses, including two title defeats to Kamar Usman.

After losing a unanimous decision to Gilbert Burns last April, 39-year-old Jorge Masvidal announced the end of his professional career and vacated the BMF title he won for his win over Diaz.

Two months ago, Jorge Masvidal avoided jail time for assaulting Colby Covington, getting off with a formal sentence that was extinguished by his previous appearances at the police station and court hearings, as well as paying court costs.
