Jon Jones spoke about the fight against Sergei Pavlovich

Contender for the vacant UFC heavyweight title, Jon Jones, has revealed what he thinks of Russian fighter Sergei Pavlovich, who will insure his title fight against France’s Cyril Gan this weekend.

“I think Sergey will be an amazing opponent,” the American said in an interview with UFC Russia. “He’s doing great, he’s got devastating knockout power, good boxing and I wish him the best.”

A heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Cyril Gun will be the main event of UFC 285 on March 4 in Las Vegas.

Sergei Pavlovich, who was officially named a reserve participant in the championship fight, arrived in Las Vegas the day before, where today, together with the rest of the participants in the numbered event, he will undergo the official weigh-in procedure. If the services of the Russian puncher are not needed, on April 22 he will compete in a Candidates fight against American Curtis Blades.
