Jon Jones responds to Tyson Fury’s attack

The current UFC heavyweight title holder, Jon Jones, reacted to the appeal of Tyson Fury, who made fun of his joke sparring with Israel Adesanya.

“I have no reason to doubt myself in a fight against any opponent – just let me spend a few months in a serious boxing camp,” the American wrote on the social network. “I like my chances – I can just knock you out”

On the eve of the UFC champions put an end to a long-standing feud, having met at the International Fight Week in Las Vegas. At the same time, Jones and Adesanya had a battle of views and an impromptu sparring, commenting on which the current WBC heavyweight boxing champion pointed out to the American the lack of competent defense in the stance.

“Jon Jones, imagine how many right hands you would have missed here from me,” wrote the Briton.

A few weeks ago, Tyson Fury and Jon Jones had an online skirmish over the title of “most dangerous man on the planet”, after which UFC president Dana White promised the “Gypsy King” a title shot if he agreed to make his debut in mixed martial arts. Fury, in response, stated that he would only fight on his territory, and Jones announced his readiness to enter the ring if he was allowed by the UFC.

According to available information, Jon Jones will defend his title against Stipe Miocic or Sergey Pavlovich before the end of the year, while Tyson Fury is scheduled to have an exhibition boxing match against former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
