Jon Jones responds to Tom Aspinall's promise to knock him out

The current UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, did not disregard the statement of Briton Tom Aspinall, who in the next edition of the MMA Hour promised to knock him out with one blow.

“I’ve been hearing the same quotes from different people for the last fifteen years – it’s great to be the guy everyone dreams of fighting,” the American wrote on the social network. “I get a feeling of deja vu every time another guy promises to kick my ass. Meanwhile, I’m still undefeated, with a gray face”

“Half the time, the guys who talk the most shit don’t even win their next fight. I’ve been in this game for a very long time, and over the years it’s getting harder to impress me. Keep winning consistently like me. And after that, say your de *** o “

“That’s what always happens – someone is praised until I beat him. And then all of a sudden, ‘Who the hell is this guy anyway?’ Just two months ago, Gan was the absolute future of MMA. The best footwork, the fastest and most athletic heavyweight we’ve ever seen. And now everyone’s like, ‘Who the hell is he?'”

Last weekend at UFC Fight Night 224 in London, Tom Aspinall successfully resumed his career after a year-long break, finishing with a TKO of Marcin Tyburu in the second minute of the fight, and Jon Jones will fight his next fight on November 11 at UFC 295 in New York against former division champion Stipe Miocic.
