Jon Jones responds to Stipe Miocic’s accusations

The current UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, reacted to the statement of Stipe Miocic, who accused him of trying to avoid the fight.

“I lay low for a couple of weeks, and you began to convince yourself that I was afraid of you. Ha, you can tell yourself what you want, old man,” Jones wrote on the social network.

Jones previously said that his fight with Miocic in November will headline the traditional UFC New York tournament, and the president of the strongest league in the world, Dana White, confirmed this information.

In addition, Jones made it clear that his words about a possible retirement after the duel with Miocic should not be taken literally and unconditionally.

“Ok, my fault – I will continue to fight,” the American fighter wrote to a fan who said he did not want to hear anything about his resignation.

The fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic was originally scheduled to headline UFC 290 in Las Vegas on July 8, however, the organization has decided to postpone the bout until the fall.
