Jon Jones predicts Francis Ngannou’s return to UFC

Despite the departure of Francis Ngannou from the UFC, Jon Jones is confident that his fight with the Cameroonian heavyweight will become a reality.

“I’m happy for Francis,” Jones told Sports Illustrated. “I’m glad he knows his worth. No man has the right to shame another for standing up for his worth.”

“At light heavyweight, I was in a similar situation. I have always been dissatisfied with my salary. As a result, I sat for three years, lost a lot of time, but here we are. I support Francis on his journey and wish him all the best. I’m sure any other organization would be happy to have it.”

“I believe that our paths with Francis will cross again. Dana White always gives the fans what they want to see and the Jones-Ngannou fight will always be interesting. So I don’t give up on this fight. I’ll keep an eye on Francis.”

This past weekend, UFC President Dana White officially announced that Francis Ngannou had left the organization and vacated the UFC heavyweight championship belt, which will be contested by Jon Jones and Cyril Gun on March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas.
