Jon Jones meets Israel Adesanya leads to unexpected denouement

After numerous mutual insults on social media and in the press, UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones decided to bury the hatchet and put an end to the protracted conflict, meeting face to face at International Fight Week in Las Vegas.

A video confirming this fact was published by the current holder of the UFC middleweight title.

“What a world – first Alex Pereira, now that motherfucker Jones,” said the Nigerian.

“Blessed be the king,” replied the American.

Some time later, Adesanya added to the intrigue by posting a photo where he was clearly jokingly pushing with the current UFC heavyweight champion.

“And then this happened,” the fighter wrote in a comment.

Israel Adesanya’s next opponent will be determined this weekend at UFC 290 in a duel between Robert Whittaker and Drikus Du Plessis, and Jon Jones will defend his title before the end of the year against his compatriot Stipe Miocic or Russian Sergey Pavlovich.

Currently, Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya are ranked #1 and #5 in the P4P UFC rankings, respectively.
