Jon Jones kissed the hand of Fedor Emelianenko

Former UFC light heavyweight titleholder and current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones showed the utmost respect for Fedor Emelianenko by meeting “The Last Emperor” at the Bellator and PFL co-main event in Riyadh.

“I love you, Fedor – you have always been and remain my favorite fighter,” the American told the Russian, kissing his hand. “You and Alexander. Tell your brother I say hi to him!”

As a reminder, Jon Jones attended the event as an invited guest, and Fedor Emelianenko seconded his student Vadim Nemkov, who made a successful debut in the heavyweight division, finishing former PFL champion Bruno Cappelozza by arm-triangle choke.

The American fighter, currently recovering from two surgeries, plans to return to the octagon before the end of the year and make a title defense against former division champion Stipe Miocic.
