Jon Jones has some advice for Tom Aspinall

Current UFC heavyweight titleholder, Jon Jones, has spoken about what he would do if he were the division’s interim champion, Tom Aspinall, who has been unsuccessfully trying to get a fight with him.

“I’m definitely not ruling out a fight with Tom Aspinall, but if I were him, if I really believed I was the best in the world, I would try to prove it,” MMA Fighting quoted the American as saying. “Go out there and compete. And the real fans will appreciate your victories as champions. Don’t let me slow you down. Go out there, kick ass, and make money.”

Earlier, Jones said he could make a unification fight with Tom Aspinall if he successfully defends his title against former division champion Stipe Miocic and comes out of the fight without significant damage.

Recall that Jon Jones was scheduled to make his title defense last November, but tore a pectoral muscle and pulled out of the fight with Stipe Miocic, and Tom Aspinall won the interim championship belt at UFC 295 by knocking out Sergey Pavlovic in the first round.
