Jiri Prochazka has announced the timing of the return to the octagon

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, plans to return to the octagon this summer.

“I think I will be able to return in July-August, approximately in these terms, six or seven months,” the Czech fighter said in the next edition of the MMA Hour program. “I don’t want to rush and come back just to fight. I know it’s not the best attitude, but I want to make sure my body is 200 percent ready. And I think I can do it in the summer. Just give me time and I’ll be back as soon as possible.”

Prochaska wants to face American Jamal Hill, who over the weekend defeated Glover Teixeira by unanimous decision to win the vacant championship belt, but did not impress the Czech with his performance.

“Jamal talks about his knockout power, but Glover showed everyone that Jamal doesn’t have it. More than Jamal, I was surprised by Glover himself, because everything looked like it was not his evening.

Earlier, the starting odds for the fight between Prochazka and Hill were published, according to which the American is a slight favorite in this confrontation.
