Jake Paul says Tommy Fury tried to make a sham of him after Fury refused entry into the U.S.

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have hit another hurdle ahead of their grudge match.

Fury posted a video on Tuesday in which he stated that he was denied entry into the United States after attempting to board a plane from London to New York. According to Fury, he does not know why this complication arose and his team is working to resolve the issue so that he can meet Paul for their scheduled boxing match on Aug. 6 at Madison Square Garden.

“Today, me and my team arrived at Heathrow Airport, prepared for the press conference. I was then pulled towards one side by homeland security. They informed me that my ESTA (US Electronic System for Travel Authorization), had been denied, and that I couldn’t travel to the USA for a reason I seem to know.” Fury stated. Fury stated, “I stand before you and can say that I did nothing wrong. I don’t know why I am not permitted to travel to America.” I’d like to say I’ve been traveling for a fight this whole time and that’s all I’ve been doing. They wouldn’t allow me to travel, and I don’t know why.

“So now I’m having to go to the embassies and all this sort of stuff trying to resolve it and I’m in the middle of training. It’s quite shocking to me as well as my entire team. It’s an issue that must be addressed. This is a government issue. This is a much bigger issue than this fight and I am just trying to solve it. But I wanted to tell you guys .”

Paul and Fury had been scheduled for this December. Fury was injured and then became ill.

Reacting to the news on social media, Paul accused Fury of trying to “weasel” his way out of the fight and wrote that his team has reached out to Fury’s people to inform them how to resolve the unspecified issue.

Paul’s promotion Most Valuable Promotions subsequently announced that Wednesday’s press conference for the bout has been postponed.
