Jack Della Maddalena wants to fight Sean Brady at UFC 293 in Sydney

Having lost two opponents and fought two weight races in two weeks, Jack Della Maddalena, who defeated UFC rookie Bassil Hafez via split decision, is generally satisfied with his performance and is ready to return to the octagon in less than two months.

“It wasn’t my best performance, but I had a lot of fun,” the Australian welterweight told a press conference after UFC on ESPN 49. “It’s been a crazy three weeks and in the end I had to go out and win. It was not an easy fight, but I came today for it. I think I landed more hits and he didn’t do me much damage. I’m still revisiting the fight, but I’m glad they raised my hand.”

Jack Della Maddalena wants to fight his next fight on September 9 at UFC 293 in Sydney against American Sean Brady, who was originally supposed to fight him at UFC 290 in Las Vegas, but withdrew from the fight.

“It would be great to have this fight – I’m sure we would have a great fight. I hope he sees this and says, ‘Yes, I would love to go with Sydney.’ I’m ready to fight Sean Brady. This is a fight that I would take as seriously as possible. He’s a top notch opponent.”
