“It’s priceless”. Joshua confirms Garcia’s arrival in the camp for a rematch with Usyk

British ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) confirmed the information that the famous American coach Robert Garcia has joined his team, who will help him prepare for the upcoming rematch against the Ukrainian offender Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KO).

At the same time, Anthony emphasized that Garcia will not take the post of head coach – this place remains with Angel Fernandez, just as Robert will not “break” the boxer’s style for himself.

“Garcia is here (in London) now,” Joshua said. We are just working on some things. It’s not about changing the style as such, in my opinion. Garcia’s style is crouching with body and head bob, but I’m still a 2m heavyweight. So it’s not about changing style, it’s about his experience and knowledge at the championship level. Adding this to a training camp is priceless, in my opinion. Well, the main thing in general is that a happy fighter is a dangerous fighter. I am in a good position and feel great.”

Earlier it became known that Usyk and Joshua will have a rematch in Saudi Arabia, and they will do it in a unique arena.
