“It is more difficult to organize a fight Umar than Khabib”: Nurmagomedov’s manager about the next fight

UFC matchmakers are having serious difficulties trying to organize a fight for Umar Nurmagomedov, ranked fourteenth in the rankings of the organization’s lightest division.

This was reported by the manager of the undefeated Russian fighter, Ali Abdelaziz.

“Everyone is afraid of Umar,” Abdelaziz wrote on social media. “The UFC is working so hard to organize a fight for him, but no one agrees. That’s a fact.”

“It’s harder to organize a fight for Umar than even Khabib at this point in his career. I’ve never seen anything like this before.”

Umar Nurmagomedov knows no defeats and is riding a four-fight win streak under the UFC banner, knocking out Brazilian Raoni Barcelos in his last fight as early as the first round. The 28-year-old Russian was scheduled to fight American Corey Sandhagen in August, which theoretically could have been a contender fight, but Nurmagomedov suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery and withdrew from the bout.

Ten days ago, the Russian fighter announced that he would like to compete at UFC 298, which takes place Feb. 17 in Anaheim, and has also challenged former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueredo, who is ranked eighth in the lightweight division rankings.
