Israel Adesanya replied to Alex Pereira

Reigning UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, reacted to the attack of his former rival Alex Pereira, who reminded the Nigerian that the score in their head-to-head matches is still 3-1 in his favor.

“This is the case when quality is more important than quantity. 3:1 – so be it if it helps you sleep at night,” Adesanya wrote on the social network, commenting on the Brazilian’s statement.

Last November, Alex Pereira took the UFC championship belt away from Israel Adesanya by TKO in the fifth round, and last month the Nigerian took a convincing revenge by knocking out the Brazilian in the second five-minute period.

Speaking of a 3-1 score in his favor, Pereira counts two victories over Adesanya in kickboxing fights, in one of which he sent the opponent to a blind knockout.

Israel Adesanya’s next opponent will be determined in the Candidates bout between Robert Whittaker and Dricus Du Plessis, while Alex Pereira will continue his career in the light heavyweight division.
