Israel Adesanya prepares for the fight, reaction from Khamzat Chimaev

Former UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, is actively preparing for his return to the octagon, including honing his wrestling and grappling skills.

A corresponding training video featuring the Nigerian has surfaced online, indirectly confirming the information that the former champion will be facing a wrestling-based opponent in his next fight.

According to rumors, Israel Adesanya is preparing to share the octagon with either the current UFC middleweight champion, Dricus Du Plessis, or the division’s number nine, Hamzat Chimaev. The latter did not ignore the video of his potential opponent’s training, leaving five laughing emoji as a comment.

Earlier, Israel Adesanya made it clear that he plans to take part in the UFC 300 anniversary tournament, which will take place on April 13 in Las Vegas.

The Nigerian fighter last stepped into the octagon last September, sensationally losing by unanimous decision to Sean Strickland and losing the UFC middleweight championship belt.
