“Congratulations bro! Car,” the Russian wrote on social media. “Never give up. Come on, Movsar!”
The featherweight bout between Movsar Yevloyev and Arnold Allen went all the way and ended with the Russian boxer winning by a unanimous 29-28 decision in two rounds.
In the third round, Allen hit Evloyev with four forbidden knee strikes and severely cut his head, but the undefeated Russian showed character and took the fight to the end, earning his eighteenth professional victory.
After the fight, Movsar Yevloyev said he would like to see the winner of the title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria, who is headlining UFC 298 in Anaheim on February 17, as his next opponent.
