After talks to fight Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) fell through, reigning heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) no longer believes they will ever make it to one ring.
Recall that Fury wanted to fight Joshua on December 3, but now he will meet with Derek Chisora, which was officially announced today.
“I don’t think (that the fight with Joshua will ever take place), Fury admitted honestly. “They are very difficult to work with. You just can’t force someone to do something they don’t want to do. As much as I want to have this fight, if the other contestant doesn’t want it for one reason or another, they won’t do it. I doubt that he would have been able to pull him into the ring even with the help of a tractor.”
“It’s all about the lack of eggs. If you are the boss, if you are persistent, if you really want it, then you tell your team to fight. But if you don’t want it, you will find a million excuses not to do it, ”Tyson concluded.
