Apparently, Mexican superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) has not yet abandoned the idea of holding a duel against Ukrainian heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs).
Canelo did not answer the question about a possible fight directly, but made it clear that it would be interesting.
“Everyone would like to fight me, this is not unusual,” states Alvarez. – Usyk is a great fighter who was in cruiserweight and went all the way up. I am a fighter who loves challenges. He likes to feel the danger in the ring. That’s what gives adrenaline.”
Recall that the Mexican is the absolute champion of the super middle division (up to 76.2 kg). In May of this year, he tried to become a two-time champion by a weight higher (79.4 kg), but failed, losing on points to Dmitry Bivol.
Meanwhile, the reigning champion of the 90.7 kg category promises Canelo a knockout.
