The left-handed favorite occupied the center of the ring. He did not offer anything interesting: he jabbed a lot, sometimes he connected left straight lines. But Krolenko was no less predictable in response – he tried to deliver a right hook to the target, bypassing the block. Both mainly worked on the block. The Irishman’s fists are much heavier. He has an advantage.
In the 2nd round, both liked more. The Irishman found a hole in the Ukrainian defense under a right hook to the body. He threw a lot, invested in all the blows, so he got a little hooked in the last seconds of the three-minute period. It was hard for Krolenko, but he held on. Tried to listen to the prompts of his angle – ends the attacks with a left hook.
The favorite noticeably sat down physically. And round number 3 turned out to be much more competitive. Krolenko tried to work as the first number, threw punches in series, finished combinations with a right hook to the body. Due to the striking power, Carty managed to regain the initiative.
In the 5th round, Krolenko blundered a left hook and ended up in a heavy knockdown. Looks like he hurt his leg. The Irishman rushed to finish off the underdog, but looked confused. Carty still pushed Krolenko, and he was on the floor for the second time. With difficulty, he got to his feet, but could not stand firmly due to injury. The referee stopped the fight. It’s a shame.
