On Tuesday in Tokyo (Japan), local superstar Naoya Inoue (24-0, 21 KOs) expectedly had no problems with the WBO champion Briton Paul Butler (34-2, 15 KOs) – played like a cat and a mouse, and then knocked out at 11 -th round.
This victory made Inoue the undisputed bantamweight champion. Immediately after the fight, the Japanese confirmed his transition to the next division – soon he will officially release all the belts he occupies.
Yesterday vRINGe Editorial Board argued over which place to raise Inoue in the ranking of the best boxers in the world, regardless of weight categories. There were many proposals and arguments, including leaving it in its previous positions. I had to resort to a proven method – they considered the arithmetic mean.
Inoue rose from 7th position to 5th, ahead of American welterweight Terence Crawford and British heavyweight Tyson Fury – the Japanese did not reach Russian light heavyweight Dmitry Bivol.
