Taylor and Catterall have both not competed since their first fight in February last year, which ended in a highly questionable first split decision win. After the fight, while still an absolute, the Scot gradually abandoned the WBC, WBA and IBF titles, while arguing that Catterall had nothing to hope for in a rematch.
