In a fight with Wilder, I put everything on the line – Helenius

“Nordic Nightmare” from Finland, 38-year-old heavyweight Robert Helenius (31-3, 19 KOs) is confident that the American ex-champion Deontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs), with whom they should fight on October 15 in Brooklyn (USA), will return after two early defeats from Tyson Fury even stronger than before.

However, Helenius himself is not going to miss the long-awaited chance to come close to the title fight.

“I am a completely different fighter from Fury, so Wilder will prepare differently. By the way, he showed himself well in the last fight against Fury. Of course, these were really hard fights, but I think that with each new entry into the ring, Deontay progressed and boxed better, ”says Robert.

  • Wilder didn’t get bored outside of boxing

“Now I see him as a completely new fighter, and I know firsthand that people can change between fights,” said Helenius. “I don’t think it will be a big problem for him to come back after the defeat. We will definitely have a very, very good fight.”

“This is the next step for me,” continues Nightmare from Finland. “Just like him, I have to prove myself in this fight in order to subsequently get a title shot. It won’t be easy. And for this reason, we continue to work tirelessly throughout the year. We know we have to do our best, put everything on the line. Feels like I’m ready. I will do everything in my power. I have been waiting for the opportunity to fight for the title for a very long time.”

In turn, Wilder appreciated Helenius and spoke about their fight.
