“I’m the best option for Canelo.” Berlanga told how he will get to Alvarez or Munguia

25-year-old US super middleweight “The Chosen One” Edgar Berlanga (20-0, 16 KOs), after parting ways with Top Rank, is considering several collaborations from Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom, Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy and Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions, is going to get a fight with the undisputed division champion, Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez (58-2-2, 38 KOs) soon.

Berlanga is confident that Alvarez will be interested in his candidacy, even though any boxer of our time craves to fight Canelo (and get huge money for it).

“Of all the options, fighting me makes the most sense (for Alvarez), even Edgar thinks so. – Why? Because I am selling. I’m a star, man.”

Berlanga already has a plan to get to Canelo. Or at least until Jaime Munguia (41-0, 33 KOs):

“I would probably have my next fight against someone like John Ryder. Yes, I know that he has a fight with Canelo ahead, but someone like him, for example, Gary O’Sullivan. And then he would go up against Canelo or Munguia.”

“People may say that I’m not ready, but for me these are ordinary critics. In the end, a fighter must believe in himself. And you won’t know if you’re ready until you try.”
