If not Fury, Usyk will fight Dubois, he is already training – promoter

“Regular” WBA heavyweight champion Briton Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs) has quietly returned to gentle training after suffering a serious leg injury in his last fight against Kevin Lerena in December. About it
The Daily Express said his promoter Frank Warren.

In the first defense, Daniel went to the floor of the ring three times, but scored the South African in the third round. In the first of the falls, Dubois awkwardly fell to his knee, after which he deliberately knelt twice.

It was later confirmed that the boxer had torn his anterior cruciate ligament. Initial estimates predicted that he would not be able to train for at least six months – a serious injury.

The head of Queensburry Promotions suggested that Dubois would not return to the ring until at least the middle or end of May.

Mustache-Fury: “so-so-forecast” from Dubois

Warren said that the Briton is in full swing in rehabilitation: “I spoke with him a couple of days ago, he is normal and returned to training. Due to the Tyson Fury and Joe Joyce fights, we probably won’t have a date for Dubois until mid/late May.”

“It all depends on what happens with Oleksandr Usyk vs Fury. If we cannot arrange this fight for April 29th, then he [Дюбуа] will fight Usyk,” Warren said.

Does Dubois have a chance to beat Usyk? Joyce argues.
