How Oleksandr Usyk helps Ukraine during the war: the promoter says

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian invaders into the territory of Ukraine, world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) has been actively involved in charity, initiating fundraising to help the Ukrainian people in the fight against the enemy horde.

His promoter Alexander Krasyuk spoke about the help of the boxer in an interview
24tv.ua.

“As for whether Oleksandr Usyk will raise enough funds for Ukraine, he has already done a lot. Unfortunately, I can’t talk about it, because he has to do it. But he will never tell anyone about this,” the functionary is sure. – Therefore, I will try to explain in the language of Aesop what is meant. Usyk founded a foundation that is actively working and helping directly to Ukraine and all those in need of help. Even before the founding of the fund, so much was done with its own funds, but no one will ever know about this from Usyk.”

Usyk’s upcoming megafight against Briton Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will not be an exception – the rematch will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.

“During the fight, all the funds of our partners and sponsors, which we collect, and who will act as partners of this broadcast on all platforms, go to Usyk’s fund,” Krasyuk emphasized. – All proceeds go to charity. Also, throughout the broadcast, a QR code will be applied – all viewers will have the opportunity to contribute to help. Just by scanning the QR code, going to the fund’s page, make a contribution – as much as you can.”

“Only God knows how much we will raise funds. But I can definitely say that this is a powerful project. It’s not just sports and broadcasting. This is the champion’s initiative to help his country, his homeland,” the promoter concluded.
