“He’s in the top 5 P4P.” Kambosos commented on the loss to Haney in a rematch

Australian ex-world lightweight champion George Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) paid tribute to the undisputed champion from the USA Devin Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) after the last rematch, which, like the first fight, took place in Australia and ended with a confident victory Haney on points.

“From a great fighter. He taught me a lesson in the first fight, and I had the courage to do it again… He is very agile, that is, that is. I tried my best, admitted the Australian. “I wish Devin all the best for the future. And you guys, I hope you remember “Fierce” Kambosos. This is not the end, I’ll be back.”

“This guy is in the top 5 pound-for-pound and I put him in a tough 24-round competition,” said George. “Last year I had a big win (over Teofimo Lopez), I was on top of the world and trying to keep up with the best. Please pay tribute to him here in Australia. If the prime minister hears me, give him an (Australian) passport.”

And here is what Haney said after the fight.
