Henry Sejudo has named his next opponent and fight date

Henry Sekhudo, who decided to continue his professional career after losing his challenger fight against Merab Dvalishvili, has decided who he wants to be his opponent and when he plans to return to the octagon.

According to the American, he would like to take part in the UFC 306 tournament, which will take place on September 14 at the Sphere Arena in Las Vegas, and hopes that his former sparring partner, Mexican Brandon Moreno, will be able to share the octagon with him.

“What could be better than a fight between ‘Triple Crown Champion’ and Brandon Moreno, a Mexican-American and a true Mexican, who will meet and fight five rounds at the Sphere Arena in Las Vegas on Mexican Independence Day?” the former UFC double champion said in another video posted on his Youtube channel.

“I think if there’s a way to settle our conflict, there’s enough talking, enough cringing and all kinds of antics. The only way to do it is to accept the challenge. Let’s do it! You ready to sign the contract? Are you Mexican or not?”

The crux of the conflict between Sejudo and Moreno is that in 2016, the “Triple Crown Champion” helped get his sparring partner on the 24th season of the show “The Ultimate Fighter” but did not select him for his team, resulting in him ending up on Joseph Benavidez’s team, and continued to train with him after the shoot.

“I think we have a storyline. Two former champions who lost are going to have one of the greatest fights in UFC history. I’m waiting for the call.”

The lightweight contender fight between Henry Cejudo and Merab Dvalishvili ten days ago at UFC 298 in Anaheim went all three rounds and ended with the Georgian fighter winning by unanimous decision, while Brandon Moreno failed to earn a title shot at flyweight last weekend at UFC Fight Night 237 in Mexico City, losing by split decision to Brandon Royval.
