Henry Cejudo: Sterling won’t last more than three rounds

Former dual UFC champion Henry Cejudo believes he will not only reclaim the UFC bantamweight title this weekend, but also score a dominating victory over Aljamain Sterling.

“The Sterling fight is easy money,” the Triple Champion said during a media press conference. “After training some of the best fighters in the world like Jon Jones, Demetrius Johnson, Weili Zhang, Deiveson Figueredo, Jiri Prochazka, I started to understand my own talent a little better. I’m not just going to beat Aljamain Sterling, I’m going to dominate him. He won’t last more than three rounds with me.”

“I know that there is a certain window and at some point I really have to say goodbye, but now I am 36 years old and I feel young and full of energy. Yes, I was retired for three years, but in fact I was out of the game only two of them, because the whole last year I was training. I studied for a whole year, and for the last two years I trained the best in the world and accumulated knowledge. I can still compete with anyone and believe that I am the greatest fighter of all time.”

The bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo will headline UFC 288 in Newark on May 6.
