Helenius has a good chance against Wilder – promoter

British promoter Eddie Hearn shared his thoughts on the upcoming return to the ring of former world heavyweight champion American Deontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs).

Recall that on October 15 in Brooklyn (USA) Wilder will meet with the “Nordic Nightmare” Robert Helenius (31-3, 19 KOs). And if for Deontay this will be the first entry into the ring after two early defeats from Tyson Fury, then Helenius is on a clear rise after two consecutive victories over Adam Kownacki.

“I still don’t like Deontay Wilder in terms of his boxing prowess. But that doesn’t change the fact that he’s an outstanding puncher, a very entertaining fighter, a heavyweight gem,” says Hearn.

“It looks like the wins over Kownacki allowed Helenius to become a bit famous. And although Adam, like, at the end of his career, he still has not completely faded away. In general, Helenius is a powerful man. But I think he, like anyone else, can capitulate under pressure from Wilder. So I expect Wilder to win, but Helenius has a good chance of winning too.”

Meanwhile, Wilder announced that he was already in the Hall of Fame.
