Heavyweight prospect Anderson wants to fight challenger Usyk

As part of the last boxing evening in Tulsa, the American heavyweight prospect from the Top Rank promotion company Jared Anderson (12-0, 12 KOs) easily dealt with Serb Milyan Rovchanin, knocking him out in the 2nd round.

Immediately after the victory, Jared expressed a desire to fight the newly-made official contender for the IBF title, Croat Filip Hrgovic (15-0, 12 KOs).

“I will challenge him,” Anderson assured. “I would love to have such a fight. We don’t really know how far we are from him, but I’d like to get in the ring with Hrgovic. With him and any of the top 10 IBF, WBO, WBC. We just want more serious names. Everyone wants to see me against serious opposition, and we will only be happy to contribute to this.

In turn, the head of Top Rank, Bob Arum, is sure that big fights for Jared will not be long in coming: “I think it will be next year. We will move in the direction of guys like Hrgovic, this guy from China (Zhilei) and others like that.”

Recall that Hrgovic became a contender from IBF a week earlier, having hardly won on points mentioned by Arum Zhileya.
