Barry Hearn, head of Matchroom’s sports department and father of promoter Eddie Hearn, who promotes Anthony Joshua, believes IBF/WBO/WBA world champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) is the #1 heavyweight in the world, not WBC champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs).

“Obviously Fury is #1 in the world. I think he’s pretty close to signing Usyk. It’s a damn good fight, and a dangerous one,” Hearn said.
