Hearn wants to drive fat Saunders into the hall: there are 2 options for a comeback in mind

British former two-division champion Billy Joe Saunders (30-1, 14 KOs) may return in the fall in a fight with one of his two compatriots. This was stated by promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, who hopes to lure the boxer into the ring

The last time BDS was seen in the ring was a year ago, when in a unification fight he lost ahead of schedule due to injury to Saul Alvarez. The Briton suffered a broken orbital bone and was rumored to have given up boxing forever. Billy Joe himself says nothing about continuing or ending his career.

“I spoke with Saunders and some of the people who work with him. I would like to see Billy Joe in the ring again. We are talking with him about possible fights in September/October,” Hearn said in an interview with Talk Sport.

Saunders shied away, he could have been better – ex-coach Billy Joe

Meanwhile, Edward added, Saunders should get back to the gym and shed some weight, as he packs heavily between fights. Apparently, the reports of the giant Billy Joe have some foundation.

“But he is a very good fighter. Until he broke his eye socket with Canelo, he had a great fight. He is controversial, he is talented. I doubt we’ll see a fight against Chris Eubank Jr (32-2, 23 KOs) this year, but I would like John Ryder (30-5, 16 KOs) to fight Billy Joe. They had a tough fight a few years ago, very competitive. Hopefully we can get Billy Joe back in the ring,” Hearn repeated.

In the fall of 2013, Saunders outboxed Ryder 115-114 and 115-113 twice.

At the beginning of the year, Billy John stated in his style that “Eubank is a newborn giraffe who mows down like Roy Jones.”
