Hearn Reveals Canelo’s Secret Desire Before Bivol vs Ramirez Fight

The undisputed super middleweight champion Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) says that in the upcoming fight of the WBA Super light heavyweight title holder (up to 79.4 kg) Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) and Gilberto Ramirez (44-0, 30 KOs) will be rooting for the latter as they represent the same country.

However, Bivol’s victory won’t upset him too much, as it will pave the way for their rematch, British promoter Eddie Hearn is sure.

“I’ve talked to[Canelo’s coach]Eddie Reynoso on numerous occasions, and the key factor is November 5, one of the best fights of the year, Bivol-Ramirez,” Hearn said. “It will be an amazing fight and Canelo will drown for his compatriot. However, deep down he will want Bivol to win in order to have a rematch with him. This is a big fight for the division, a big fight for the whole of boxing, and I’ll be able to tell you a lot more after it’s over.”

Recall that Alvarez lost to Bivol in May of this year, and Dmitry’s fight with Ramirez will take place on November 5 in the UAE.

Meanwhile, Bob Arum spoke about the Bivol-Ramirez fight, and his young colleague Oscar de La Hoya seems to know what Canelo needs to defeat Bivol.
