MMA fighter Jeff Monson (61–26–1) announced the end of his sports career. A 49-year-old American was seriously injured – a tendon rupture, after which he announced his decision on social networks:

“With tears in my eyes, I have to write about this, realizing that there are no trainings tomorrow, and in the near future there will be none. Now I realized that the most important thing is to take care of family and friends. Travel, meet those who are dear to you. This is the most important thing in life! Be successful and healthy, I sincerely wish you this.

It should be noted that Jeff Monson took a second Russian citizenship and in 2018 became a deputy of the city district of Krasnogorsk from the United Russia party. In 2011, he lost to Fedor Emelianenko, but a year later he defeated his brother, Alexander Emelianenko. In total, Monson spent 88 fights in MMA, the last fight is dated 2016.
