Haye does not exclude that Joshua will again lose to Usyk and end his career

The conqueror of cruiserweight and heavyweight, British boxing legend David Haye suggests that his compatriot heavyweight Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will end his career in the event of a second defeat from Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) – the rematch will take place on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).

In September last year, the big men fought in London (England) – Usyk won by decision of the judges, took away the WBA Super, IBF and WBO titles from Joshua.

Haye believesthat it is simply impossible to perform worse: “I am only sure that his performance cannot be worse than he was in the first fight. After all, if we are talking about strategy and tactics, then Joshua did everything to lose. I am sure that his new coach Robert Garcia will not repeat the mistakes of his predecessor Rob McCracken. In Joshua’s case, a change in coaching is a good thing. He really needed a new voice in the corner and new ideas in the ring. He has no other choice. If he wants to get back to the top of the heavyweight he has to win. With or without a plan.

According to David, this fight could be the last of Joshua’s career: “If he doesn’t win, I’m not sure he wants to stay in this sport with the knowledge that you are no longer the best. Especially if he has a good fight but still loses. Understand that this dude is such a winner in life that I’m just afraid to predict his next steps in case of defeat. He believes that he can beat Usyk due to superiority in power and anthropometry. And I believe in it too. But he also needs the right plan for the fight.

Meanwhile, the promoter of the British Eddie Hearn is already talking with might and main about the victory of his fighter: “When Joshua beats Usyk.” The British slugger, the ex-rival of the Ukrainian, gave Anthony advice on how to defeat Usyk. And coach Peter Fury believes that if Joshua “does not have fire, the Ukrainian will take advantage of it!”
