Has the ice broken? Crawford and Spence agree to fight directly

Superfight for the title of absolute welterweight champion (up to 66.7 kg) between WBC / WBA / IBF title holder American Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) and his compatriot Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs), who owns the title WBO, can still take place, despite the fact that at the end of last year, the negotiations of the boxing teams did not end in anything worthwhile.

Moreover, now the chances of this are allegedly high again.

According to ESPN columnist Mike Coppinger, Spence and Crawford decided to take matters into their own hands and began phone conversations directly, without intermediaries. And even already agreed on the division of the prize fund.

But even if this time everything is crowned with success and comes to the conclusion of a deal, for starters, both will have to go through one opponent. Spence, as previously planned, is going to fight former champion Keith Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs), while Crawford will enter the ring against Alexis Roche (22-1, 14 KOs).

But Ennis’ promoter recently predicted that Spence would relinquish his titles and walk away to fight Charlo.
