Guram Kutateladze dropped out of UFC 283

Georgian lightweight Guram Kutateladze was injured and pulled out of the fight against Brazilian Thiago Moises, which was supposed to take place on January 21 at UFC 283 in Rio de Janeiro.

This was announced by the famous sportswriter James Lynch.

“Guram Kutateladze pulled out of the fight against Thiago Moises at UFC 283,” the journalist wrote on the social network. “Hard blow for the card. Even though the fight was part of the prelims, this is an important fight for the lightweight division. Let’s see if Moises will find a new opponent, as it is obvious that he wants to play in the home arena. It is possible that the fight will be postponed, and perhaps this is the best way out, depending on how quickly Kutateladze recovers.

30-year-old Guram Kutateladze, who is a friend and sparring partner of Khamzat Chimaev, fought two fights in the UFC, winning a split decision against Mateusz Gamrot and losing a split decision to Damir Ismagulov.

Thiago Moises, 27, got his career back on track in June after two consecutive stoppage losses by finishing with a first-round rear naked choke against Christos Giagos.
