The 39-year-old holder of a secondary WBA World middleweight title (up to 72.6 kg), Cuban Erislandi Lara (29-3-3, 17 KOs), is far from thinking about ending his career. On the contrary, now he verbally feels stronger than ever, and is ready to prove it in battles against the very top opposition.
“I want to fight both of the Charlo brothers, either of them, and I would love to welcome Danny Garcia into his new weight class, some form of contractual weight,” Lara says. – If Keith Thurman wants to fight the best, I am also open to meet him in the intermediate category. Errol Spence and Gennady Golovkin are two names that I would love to fight too. I know that I am one of the best fighters in the world and I want to fight opponents that people consider to be legends. Fight them and defeat them.”
Erislandi made it clear that he is pleased with the cooperation with the new compatriot coach Ismael Salas:
“With my new coach, I am learning how to fight more on the inside. I already hit harder than ever and have become much more dangerous.
