Get ready for Canelo to beat Golovkin unconscious – expert

Applicant for membership International Boxing Hall of Fame and current boxing columnist Timothy Bradley warns fans that the third confrontation between antagonists Saul Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) from Mexico and Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) from Kazakhstan will most likely not turn out like this as competitive as the previous two.

First, in 2017, the fighters brought the fight to a controversial draw, and exactly 12 months later, the Mexican was a little stronger. The third fight will take place in September in Las Vegas (USA) – they will fight for all the super middleweight belts owned by Canelo.

“Only one thing I know for sure. Canelo is going to beat Golovkin unconscious
sure bradley. “I just want you all to know about it. He will approach the fight with an unrealistic feeling of hunger. All I know about this guy is that he plows the gym like hell. He simply cannot allow himself a second defeat in a row (in May he lost in the light heavyweight limit to the Russian Dmitry Bivol, who plays for Kyrgyzstan).”

Bradley suggests that “Given Golovkin’s age, it would be cool if he lasted more than 4 rounds. After all, Canelo will get down to business right away. It will be fast and powerful. He will try to break Golovkin’s resistance with body shots, break him down with his combinations. Will it be possible to beat in 4 rounds? We’ll see… I’m guessing Canelo will still win by a late stoppage or just beat Golovkin all 12 rounds.”

The expert was also asked if the Mexican would agree to a rematch with Bivol. Answer: The question can be put in different ways. For example, should he do it. I think Canelo will have to take revenge. I think he wants to do it. But it is clear that with the same tactics he will not win. We need very significant changes. Bivol is a cool dude. And he will try to box in the same way. Why do I think Canelo will take revenge? Because the dude 100% has balls. And it’s cool!

Golovkin previously stated, “I’m sure Canelo cheated.” He also told how he feels about Alvarez. The veteran does not hide the fact that “he will soon end his career.”
