Gervonta Davis Reveals Why He’s Abnormally Silent About Garcia

“Regular” WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (26-0, 24 KOs) hinted that his megafight against popular compatriot prospect Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) is quite possible, and not in the infinitely distant future. . The Maryland puncher says he’d better keep quiet for now if there’s a chance to make a fight – and then let himself go.

“I don’t get into constant skirmishes with Ryan, because we all know that he is not a man of his word,” Gervonta explained the unusual “silence on the air.”

At the same time, he added that “there is a possibility that our fight will take place.”

“So I better keep quiet until the deal is done,” he concluded.

Garcia set to fight Davis ‘old school’

When such a fight will take place is unknown. Davis is under contract with Premier Boxing Champions and fights on Showtime and Fox, while Garcia fights for Golden Boy Promotions on DAZN.

A week earlier, Garcia revealed the reason for the conflict with Davis. On July 21, De La Hoya and Garcia were approached at Gervonta’s. Ryan was answered and almost buried the fight with Davis.

And here is the prediction for such a fight from the legend: “Davis will knock out Garcia.”
