American lightweight knockout (up to 61.2 kg) Gervonta Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) did not become psychotic, bullish and squirm in response to the self-confident forecast of compatriot Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) for their super fight (preliminarily agreed on 15 April). The latter said that he would beat Gervonta in two rounds.
Davis reacted calmly.
“Ryan has high hopes. He is a fighter. Fighters should talk like that and think sky-high of themselves. He talks and then really works hard for it,” Davis said on The Last Stand podcast. “He’s focused on me, so I can’t ignore his statement. Do you understand what I mean? It must be remembered that he will come out with the goal of doing this. So I definitely have to be ready. And I will definitely prepare as much or much harder than he did,” Gervonta promised.

As for the forecast “in two rounds”, then Davis also does not have much comment on this matter.
“Strong prognosis. Two rounds is crazy. Although Rollie [Ромеро] said the same thing. Geez, what are they thinking. [Гарсия] I sat at that fight in the ringside and saw everything up close. He made a bet with Spence and lost. Cough, be sure to tell him to bet again,” Gervonta chuckled.
