Gan says he’s ready to fight Jones
French heavyweight Cyril Gan has announced his readiness to fight former pound-for-pound leader Jon Jones if he defeats UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
“It would be great to beat Ngannou and go to Jon Jones,” Gan told reporters at the media day. “This is a good development. Many people are already discussing our potential fight, and it is interesting from a stylistic point of view. It would be a good fight. So if the opportunity arises, we will definitely meet.”
Gan and Ngannou will fight on the night of January 23 in Anaheim in the main event of UFC 270.
