The WBA heavyweight eliminator fight (over 90.7 kg) between American Michael Hunter (20-1-2, 14 KOs) and Briton Hughie Fury (26-3, 15 KOs) will still take place. The new date is October 29th.
The venue of the fight is not reported, but earlier they were supposed to box in Manchester (UK) – the fight scheduled for July 2 did not take place due to the illness of a local fighter.

The WBO once again sanctioned a duel for the vacant “interim” WBO super middleweight title (up to 76.2 kg) between American Demetrius Endred (31-0, 19 KOs) and Briton Zach Parker (22-0, 16 KOs).
The fight was supposed to take place on May 21 in Derby (UK), but the American fell ill. The thing is that Andred has now officially abandoned the WBO belt in a lower division, as he does not want to fight the mandatory challenger from Kazakhstan Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (12-0, 8 KOs). The already ex-champion plans to continue his career at 76.2 kg.
It is almost certain that the holder of the “interim” WBO title, Alimkhanuly, will be promoted to full-fledged champions. Previously, Andred was given 30 days to negotiate with Zhanibek, but there are interesting details.
A cool fight will take place on September 24 at Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham (UK): local WBA World featherweight champion (up to 57.2 kg) Lee Wood (26-2, 16 KOs) will fight tough Mexican slugger Mauricio Lara (24-2-1, 17 KOs).
There is a minus in this news. It was assumed that Wood would fight with the owner of the WBA “super title” Mexican Leo Santa Cruz (38-2-1, 19 KOs) – the parties even canceled the promotional auction, as they allegedly agreed on a duel. Why this fight will not take place, and how the WBA reacted to it, is still unknown.
